BAS Deadlines 2026: Key Dates for Australian Businesses

Staying on top of your BAS lodgement dates is critical. Late lodgement can result in penalties, interest charges and unnecessary stress. Here are the key dates for 2026.

Quarterly BAS Due Dates 2026

Quarter Period Due Date
Q2 FY26 Oct – Dec 2025 28 February 2026
Q3 FY26 Jan – Mar 2026 28 April 2026
Q4 FY26 Apr – Jun 2026 28 July 2026
Q1 FY27 Jul – Sep 2026 28 October 2026

Monthly BAS

If you lodge monthly, your BAS is due on the 21st of the following month. If the 21st falls on a weekend or public holiday, the due date moves to the next business day.

Other Key Dates

  • Super guarantee: Due 28 days after the end of each quarter
  • STP finalisation: 14 July for most employers
  • Income tax returns: 31 October for self-lodgers; later if lodged through a tax agent
  • FBT return: 21 May (for the year ending 31 March)
